FCT: Gwagwalada butchers elect executives

The leadership of Butchers Association in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has elected four officers in the area.

The four elected officers of the association are Mr. Bashir Rulwanu; Chairman, Mr. Suleiman Idris; secretary, Alhaji Dangude; Treasurer while the position of financial secretary went to Mr. Kamal Rabiu.

In their separate interviews at the occasion, the Sarkin (Chief) Pawa of Abuja, Alhaji Musa Bashir and Sarkin Pawa of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammad Nura, charged  the newly elected officials of Gwagwalada Butchers Association to carry the members along.

Both Bashir and Nura also advised the Gwagwalada butchers’ executives to shun any act that could damage the image of butchers in the area.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Gwagwalada Chairman on security matters, Mr. Adamu Yusuf said the administration of the Area Council would continue to provide a conducive environment for the butchers to carry out their businesses in Gwagwalada

On his part, the newly elected Chairman of Gwagwalada  Butchers Association, Mr. Bashir Rulwanu, said he would carry every member of the association along in the scheme of things.

He then called on both the officials and members of the association to always gear towards the progress and development of the association in the area, and appealed for unity and co-operation among the executives at all times.

Rulwanu, however, assured the butchers that his leadership would bring new innovations to Gwagwalada abattoir as well modernize the abattoir for better.
