In what appears to be a subtle a valedictory remark, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed says he remains grateful to President Goodluck Jonathan for giving him the opportunity to be part of the team that contributed immensely to his transformation agenda.

He acknowledged the trust and confidence the President Jonathan had on him despite various efforts by people close to him or outsiders to spoil his reputation and good relationship with the President, even as he reinstates his unreserved loyalty and commitment to the first family.

“As the life of this administration fast comes to an end, I may either move up to the next step in my political career or remain with the president. In whatever way, I remain ever grateful and committed to the progress and welfare of the first family,” said the minister, when he received officials of the FCTA, who were at his official resident in Life Camp, Abuja to pay him a Sallah homage.

The minister stressed his commitment and loyalty to the legislators who had given him great legislative support in the areas of quick passage of the FCT Budget and other legal framework that had enhanced the operations of the FCT administration in the quest to ensure the full realisation of the transformation agenda.

Mohammed reiterated the effort of the administration to continue its drive to providing the much needed infrastructural development in FCT, using different means both in foreign loans and budgetary provisions.

Meanwhile, when contacted on phone for clarification, the minister’s Chief Press secretary, Muhammad Sule, dismissed the insinuation that the minister may have given his valedictory speech, saying it is not true position of things.
