FCT: Ramatu pledges harmonious working relationship with Bello

In order accelerate the development of Abuja, the nation’s capital city, the Minister of State for FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has pledged to ensure harmonious working relationship with her senior counterpart, the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello.
In particular, Dr. Aliyu expressed determination to work closely with Malam Bello to move the FCT Administration forward, to ensure rapid development of the Territory socially and economically.
Aliyu gave the assurance when members of the FCT Minister’s Press Corps led by its Chairman, Comrade Ikharo Attah paid her a congratulatory visit yesterday, in Abuja.
She noted that harmonious working relationship among the two ministers and the staff of the FCT Administration was imperative because it was the most essential ingredient for sustainable development and actualisation of President Buhari’s vision for the Territory.
The FCT Minister of state, who promises to operate an open door administration, urged members of the Corps to as critical stakeholders not to hesitate to advise her whenever necessary.
She, therefore, solicited the support of members of the FCT Press Corps in the area of developmental journalism, with a view to showcase the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari in the FCT.
Speaking earlier, Comrade Attah stressed the need for a cordial working relationship between the two ministers.
He recalled that “certain feathers were ruffled in the past between ministers of state and senior ministers.
“While the bad blood lasted between the past two ministers, development of the territory and welfare of the residents received little attention.”
Attah, however, assured that the Press Corps would cover activities of the Administration as stakeholders, keeping to the tenets of the journalism profession, including objectivity, fairness and balance.
