The Coordinator of the National Blood Transmission Service, in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Omo Izedonmwen, has urged residents to come out en masse to donate blood for the sake of saving lives when the need arises.

Izedonmwen, who made this known in an interview with Peoples Daily during the voluntary blood donation exercise organised by the Ebira community in Gwagwalada, also called on the other tribes in the FCT to emulate the Ebira’s in their gesture in the society.

He said his leadership would not relent in his effort to mobilize the people for the blood donation, in the territory for the benefit of those who need it.
