FCT: Second class chief crowns Oba of Yoruba in Gwagwalada

The Aguma (second class chief) of Gwagwalada Area council in the federal capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji, has crowned the Oba of Yoruba in Gwagwalada, Oba Muraina Boladele in the area.
In an interview after the turbaning ceremony, the chairman of Yoruba Traditional Council in the FCT, Oba Musban Akinloye Owolabi, urged the entire Yorubas in Gwagwalada to join hands with Oba Muraina Boladele for the sake of peace in the area.
He also tasked Yoruba people to be united for the progress of Yoruba Community in Gwagwalada and the FCT at large, calling on them to continue to maintain cordial relationship with the indigenes.
He further charged Yoruba youths to be calm and remain united in anywhere they found themselves, noting that youths are the future leaders of tomorrow.
Owolabi used the occasion to appeal to the government of the day to redouble its efforts to execute more projects, pointing out that Yoruba people would continue to be loyal to the government in all ramifications.
On his part, the Oba of Yoruba in Gwagwalada, Oba Muraina Boladele, advised Yorubas to be peace –loving people at all times in the area.
He prayed for the progress and God’s guidance of Yoruba people in the area, while calling for mutual understanding among Yorubas always.
The Gwagwalada Oba of Yoruba, however, thanked the Aguma for the honoura done to him.
Some Yorubas who attended the turbaning ceremony include; Oba Oluwole Samson of Old Kutunku, Oba Garuba Ayodele Samuel, Oba Olusegun A.E David of Giri, Olu Tunga Maje; Taiwo Yusuf, Chief Atayese Simon, Chief Agba Akin-Abdulai K, Chief Ajiroba Akintaye, Chief Bobajiro Peter A and Chief (Mrs) Olubunmi Jethro.
Others are: Chief Arnoye Olusegun Ibidiran, Oba Abudul Rasak Akanji of Paikon, Isiaka Olaniyan; Chairman Angwan Dodo, Olor-odo Nafiu, Mrs Elizabeth; Angwandodo Women leader, Chief Basorun Abdul Akeem and Basorun Isogun of Gwagwalada.
