The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Kebbi State Command, on Wednesday carried out an emergency preparedness exercise at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) office in the state.
The exercise, held on April 8, 2026, featured a fire simulation and evacuation drill aimed at boosting safety awareness, testing emergency response strategies, and ensuring readiness in the event of a fire outbreak within the facility.
Leading the operation, the Head of Inspection, Investigation and Enforcement (IIE), DSF Kabiru Muhammad, stressed the need for proactive safety measures and strict adherence to fire prevention protocols across both public and private establishments.
He noted that such drills are essential in reducing risks and improving coordinated responses during emergencies.
The Federal Fire Service reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property through sustained training, public sensitisation, and improved emergency response systems.
