The federal government is seeking collaboration with the state government with a view to implementing education reforms in the country.
Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman disclosed the development in Yola yesterday (Thursday) stressing that the new reforms are meant to addressing the falling standards of educational.
While paying courtesy call on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state, Professor Mamman announced that the federal government will soon unfold some reforms programmes especially at the basic education level.
Mamman said President Bola Tinubu has directed that the issue of out-of-school children should be given priority to address what he described as “national scourge in order improve quality of education”.
He assured that under his watch as the Sheriff in the Ministry, all hands were on deck to changing the narratives as he asked for collaboration of the state governments in that regard.
The Minister also revealed that the federal government is working on workable strategies to checkmating unnecessary strikes by the tertionary institutions.
