In an effort to ensure delivery of tertiary health care to the citizens, the Adamawa state government has officially handed over General hospital Mubi to the federal government for upgrade to Federal Medical Center status.
The handing and taking over ceremony took place at the hospital’s premises on Monday in Mubi where the facility was presented by the representative of the state government to the representatives of the Federal Ministry of Health.
Making his remarks at the occasion, the Commissioner of Health and Human Services in the state, Mr. Felix Tangwami said the transition came at the right time considering the fact that, Healthcare delivery is a collective responsibility of government and the governed.
Represented by the permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Pharmacist, Zirra Mathias Bubanani, Mr.Tangwami urged the management of the Federal Medical Center Mubi to work in unison with the staff of General hospital Mubi towards upholding the highest standards of professionalism, compassion, and dedication.
