11 petrol tankers have been destroyed as fire gutted a parking garage in Anguwan Mu’azu, kaduna South Local Goverment Area yesterday.
This was confirmed by the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KASEMA)Abdulahi Hassan.
The KASEMA boss who was on the spot assessment to ascertain the level of destruction caused by the fire incident, said the fire incident led to the discovery of different illigal activities involving petroleum products in the area.
“It is unfortunate that people living in the area do not know the danger associated with the illigal movement of petroleum products,” he said.
According to him, the Agency would investigate to ascertain the involvement of residents and members of the community in such activities that allegedly led to the fire outbreak.
