The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Gombe State Command, has continued its commitment to promoting fire safety awareness by educating Corps Members at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp, Amada, Gombe State.
As part of the orientation programme, a lecture titled “Fundamentals of Fire Safety: Understanding Fire Prevention, Protection, and Emergency Response” was delivered by ASF II Ibrahim Isa.
During the lecture, Corps Members were enlightened on the causes of fire outbreaks, preventive measures, proper use of fire safety equipment, emergency response procedures, and the importance of maintaining a safety-conscious environment. The session also highlighted the role of individuals in preventing fire incidents and protecting lives and property.
The interactive presentation provided Corps Members with practical knowledge and skills necessary to identify fire hazards, respond appropriately during emergencies, and contribute to creating safer communities during and after their service year.
The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, remains dedicated to strengthening public awareness on fire prevention and safety through continuous community engagement and education programmes.
