No fewer than twenty five houses in Ewulu and Oko communities in Delta State have been sumerged in the ongoing flood menace while various farms’ crops across three local government areas are not left out in the sweeping flood disaster
Reports said that the affected families in the current mess, are at present squatting with relations in the affected areas and Communities where they have continued to live in the fear of the unknown, especially during nighfall
It was gathered that residents of Ewulu, Oko, Infant Jesus in Asaba, among others along the Asaba Onitsha expressway, can only access their houses through canoes as the devastating floods have cut off the affected communities from other main towns in the localities especially in their attempts to access their houses as they could only do so in the use of canoes.
A leading member of Ewulu community, Mr Offli Adibeli while speaking to our Correspondent on telephone said that the situation had been worsened for the people, saying that the flood was already ravaging the community with speed but no causualty had been recorded.
