Flying Eagles spank FC Twente 11-0

Kelechi IheanachoThe Flying Eagles defeated FC Twente of Abuja 11-0 in a friendly match played in Abuja yesterday morning.

A brace form Kelechi Iheanacho inspired the Flying Eagles to a comfortable win against that were a last minute replacement for Nigeria National League side Supreme Court FC of Abuja.

Abubakar Lawal got the curtain raiser of the game in the fifth minute with Sulaiman Abdullahi providing the assist. Musa Muhammed doubled the lead in the 28th minute following a low cross off Iheanacho’s corner kick.

Sulaiman Abdullahi’s volley put the Flying Eagles up before Wilfred Ndidi made it four goals in the 38th minute.

Manu Garba’s team continued their harvest of goal through a breath-taking goal from Ifeanyi Matthew in the 40th minute.

Goals from Mustapha Abdullahi, Ihenacho, Antony Omaka, David Okereke and Victory Omodiagbe completed the rout in the second half.

Flying Eagles now boast of 26 goals in their last four games.
