FOMWAN decries alarming rates of divorce in Nigeria

Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) kaduna State chapter has decried the high rate of divorce among couples in Nigeria, blaming it on lack of understanding and forgiveness.
The State Amira of FOMWAN, Pharmacist Aisha Isyaku Tukur stated this during a marriage counselling for parents and couples in Kaduna yesterday.
According to her, marriage is a devotion and people should see it as such, saying alot of people who go into marriage do not understand what it is a“Many young couples today marry without knowing what marriage is all about. They think it is about posting flamboyant marriage proposals, wedding pictures and all sorts of things on social media”.
