The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has called on the Lives And Livelihood Funds (LLF), a conglomeration of donor agencies, to not only sustain the funding of development projects in the state, but to also introduce more beneficial activities to enhance food security in the state.
The Emir stated this while delivering an address when he received the leadership of the LLF, as well as the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), among others in his Palace on Monday.
LLF is a joint vision of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and other corporation partners funding agricultural projects in Kano state.
The international partners were in Kano for inspection tour on various agropastoral projects, aimed at improving the well-being of the people through animal and food production, marketing and processing,
The Emir expressed gratitude and appreciation with the way the foundation is investing in the people of Kano while also assuring them of the continued support of the Emirate.
“We wish to use this opportunity to thank the development partners for their support to the government and people of the state.
“We hope this visit will be an eye opener for them to see more sectors they can support. It will also provide them with a good knowledge of the economic dispensation and how they will be able to come in.
“There is no better time than this to fund development projects not only in Nigeria, judging by the problem being faced by the global economy.
The Emir also commended Kano state government for its commitment towards the success of the programme.(NAN)
