Niger state government has recorded over 38,000 Internally Displaced Persons IDPs in 11 local government areas with over 11,000 out of school children due to insecurity caused by banditry, cattle rustling, fire disaster, flooding among others in the state.
The state ministry of humanitarian and disaster management, director of information and strategy, Habibi Wushishi made this known while speaking to some journalists in Minna.
He revealed that the ministry has secured N3 billion for the establishment of Internally Displaced Persons IDPs in Niger state to ensure the use of public structures especially schools who were left for IDPs which hinders studies will be overcome.
Wushishi further disclosed that it has partners with security agencies and other relevant authorities to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
