The Former Chief of Staff to the Senate President, Senator Issa Galadu, has picked the Governorship form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to contest the exulted position of the state in the 2019 general election.
He picked the form yesterday at the party secretariat in Birnin Kebbi, with aimed to contest for the Governorship in the forthcoming 2019 election in the state.
Delivering a speech, the Kebbi State People Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Haruna Saidu, thanked the aspirant for declaring his governorship ambition, assuring him of their support and cooperation towards achieving his objective.
He said further that the present administration of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has failed the people of kebbi state by not providing them with the dividend of democracy, saying the only remedy is to rescue the masses by bring out a credible candidate that will defeat the present Governor.
“You are a good candidate and a material that will collect power from APC Government, we are ready to support you and to make you win the 2019 election”, he added.
In his response, the Governorship Aspirant, Issa Galadu, also thanked the party executive and supporters, and assured them of good governance if elected.
“My mission is to rescued the state from the ruling party, I am going to develop kebbi state, and provide them with all social amenities such as: portable water, good roads, construction of housing estates, good health care service delivery and other needs” he said.
Recall that Issa Galadu, last two weeks, defected from APC to PDP in order to get the governorship ticket.
