Omoijade Jatto, a resident of Irrua in Esan Central Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria, is urgently seeking refuge after being targeted by a dangerous confraternity.

In an interview with journalists, Jatto, a former member of the Aiye cult, revealed that he renounced his membership in 2020, hoping to escape his violent past. However, his decision has placed his life and the lives of his family in grave danger.

Jatto, married to Nnenna Regina Jatto and father to Emmanuel Eromosele Jatto and Excel Omohekpen  Jatto, recounted the harrowing ordeal he has endured since leaving the cult.

He described how the confraternity has relentlessly pursued him, making threats on his life and demanding his return to the group.

Despite his unwavering resolve to break free, the cult has intensified its efforts to find him.

“I noticed they were following me whenever I drove,” Jatto said, his voice trembling with fear.

“There was a day they came to my house and opened fire. Fortunately, no one was home, but they left a threatening letter promising to return and kill anyone they found.”

Fearing for his life, Jatto fled with his wife, but his children and housemaid were forced to scatter. He is now desperate to find them.

With his life in ruins, Jatto is pleading for government protection and hopes to reunite with his missing children. His story serves as a stark reminder of the perilous consequences faced by those who attempt to escape the clutches of violent cults.
