The Resource Forum of the Islamic Movement has congratulated the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, on his receipt of the Imam Khomeini World Award in Iran.
The award was presented to Zakzaky on December 17, 2025, in the Islamic Republic of Iran in recognition of his contributions to religious leadership and advocacy for justice.
In a statement issued on December 22 and signed by Professor Abdullahi Danladi on behalf of the forum, the group described the honour as a significant recognition of Zakzaky’s lifelong commitment to his beliefs and the welfare of the Muslim community.
“This distinguished honour transcends personal recognition; it stands as a powerful affirmation of a lifelong mission devoted to Allah, the Ummah, and the oppressed of the world,” the statement said.
The forum said the award acknowledges Zakzaky’s dedication to the cause of justice and service to humanity.
“It acknowledges Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky’s unwavering dedication to the cause of justice,” Danladi stated.
According to the group, the recognition should also inspire continued efforts toward peace and fairness across societies.
“May this award serve as renewed motivation for the global struggle against oppression and injustice against all,” the statement added.
The Resource Forum extended its congratulations to Zakzaky, members of the Islamic Movement and the wider Muslim community, while praying for continued strength and guidance for their leader.
“Once again, our heartfelt congratulations,” the statement concluded.
