A former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) in Niger State, Alhaji Mahmud Abdullahi has officially declared his intention to contest for the seat of House of Representative to represent Agaie/Lapai Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abdullahi, the eight-year media aide to late Niger state governor Abdullahi Abdulkadir Kure made his declaration before a large crowd in Lapai party secretariat, where to disclosed that in parliament what is needed is the techniques to lobby and pressure to get things done for your people.
while addressing the citizens, assured of better representation in the lower chamber of the National Assembly and called for the support of the people to ensure victory so as to actualize his dream to change the narrative.
Also speaking, former Commissioner of Information Strategy and culture, Mr Jonathan Tsado Vatsa in an interview said that 2023 will surely be different because democracy is advancing hence the need for better candidate who will work for the interest of the people.
On his [part, the Nigeria Union of Journalists Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmadu noted that the aspirant is fully aware of the dynamics of National Assembly especially the lower chamber and should be given the mandate to serve.
The Lapai local government All Progressives Congress Chairman, Alhaji Usman Ndagi Achitukpa, in his remarks told the people that the aspirant is a well known individual who had served the state meritoriously and never found wanting and assured of their support for his aspiration.
