As the Christmas celebration draws near, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),Yola Zonal Command has organised a workshop for special marshals on road safety administration.
Zonal Commander in charge of the Zone, Abdullahi Ringim said that the aim of the workshop was to strengthen the capacity of the special marshals in the zone.
Ringim said the core objectives of the training was to equip the volunteers with requisite knowledge on road safety administration to sensitize citizens on their civic responsibility to safeguard lives and property on major roads.
Sini Kwabe, the national coordinator of the special marshals said 18,000 special marshals have been registered nationwide.
Kwabe explained that Nigeria was among the leading countries with high number of well-trained special marshals adding that their services was a sacrificed to humanity.
