Fruit sellers appeal to FCT senator on abandoned borehole

The leadership of the Fruit Sellers Association of Nigeria, Dei-dei branch in Abuja municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the FCT, has called on the senator representing the FCT at the National Assembly, Hon. Philip Tanimu Aduda to repair an abandoned borehole earlier being constructed by him as a matter of urgency as the market lacks water for its daily activities.

Speaking to Peoples Daily on behalf of the fruit sellers in De-dei, the patron of the market, Mallam Aliyu Bakori, pleaded with the chairman of AMAC, Hon. Micah Yohanna Jiba to rehabilitate the road linking the main road from the fruit market to enable the traders have access road.

He urged the chairman to re-double his efforts in providing social amenities for the residents of Dei-dei to boost socio-economic development in the area, noting that the people of Dei-dei had suffered neglect in terms of infrastructural development for so long.

He said that the officials of the market would continue to cooperate and support the administration of the area council for the overall development of the market and warned them against any act capable of causing disunity amongst them.
