FUDMA to Host Nine Universities For Pre-NUGA Games
The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), is set to host nine universities for Zone F Preliminary Games of the Nigeria University Games (NUGA).
The event is scheduled for September 2026, the FUDMA Director of Sports, Dr. Funke Abosede Olarinoye, has said.
Dr. Funke listed the participating schools as Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, Al-Qalam University, Katsina, Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU) Zaria and Airforce Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna.
Others are the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Federal University of Health Sciences, Funtua, and the Federal University of Education, Zaria.
Ahead of the games, the FUDMA Director of Sports has visited three neighbouring tertiary institutions to seek areas of collaboration for the success of the event
The institutions are Umaru Musa Yaradua University, Al-Qalam University and Federal College of Education, Katsina.
At UMYU, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Aliyu Muktar Katsina and the Director of Sports, Ja’afar Abba, commended FUDMA for securing the hosting rights of the Pre-NUGA Games, and pledged their support.
Also, the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Qalam University, Prof. Nasiru Musa Yauri, said they were ready to offer a “helping hand towards the success of the event”.
Similarly, the Federal College of Education Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Mohammed Idris Abubakar, said they would support FUDMA for the success of the Pre NUGA Games.
