Fuel scarcity: NSCDC boss explains personnel deployment to filling stations

To assist in maintaining peace and order, the FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), deployed officers and men of the corps  to all the filling stations in the FCT environs to help lessen obstruction of commuters and motorists, in the wake of the prevailing fuel scarcity.

Sequel to the deployment, FCT Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. Peter Maigari, along side the Head of Anti vandal unit, a Deputy Commandant of Corps, Kehinde Oke and some armed personnel went round the Territory, to supervise the operation and monitor the activities in some petrol stations.

Maigari, in a statement from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), FCT command of the NSCDC, ASC II Okomanyi Comfort, explained that the personnel  deployment was part of the statutory responsibility of the NSCDC, in maintaining law and order.

He charged the NSCDC officers present at each station to be Civil and diligent as they ensure orderliness.

He also spoke with managers of some fuel stations , urging them to sell swiftly to ease the suffering of the motorists.
