Fulani herdsmen urged to send children to school

The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, Hon. Yahaya
Isah, has called on Fulani herdsmen to deem it necessary to send their children to school at their respective communities they live.
Isah made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily correspondent during the inauguration of the twenty-three executive members of MACBAN Kuje chapter in the area, also pleaded with the herdsmen to settle down in one place, instead of moving from one community to another.
He charged the newly inaugurated executives of Kuje Miyetti Allah association to be sincere to their members of the association, adding that they should be also honest to their followers.
He further urged the executives to always administer the members of the association with the fear of God, while calling on them to be humble to everybody.
He, therefore, urged the Fulani cattle breeders to shun any act capable of generating tension between them and farmers at their respective communities, and warned them against extorting money from the members.
On their responses, the Ardo (Chief) of the Fulani herdsmen in Kuje, Alhaji Abdullsalam Ibrahim and the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kuje chapter, Alhaji Muhammadu Gwandara, had promised to contribute their quota towards the progress of Miyetti Allah association in Kuje and the FCT at large.
It would be recalled that the leadership of Miyetti Allah association had so far inaugurated 115 executive members across the five area councils which include; Abaji, AMAC, Gwagwalada, Kwali and Kuje respectively.
