G/lada: APGA chairmanship candidate unveils agenda

The chairmanship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Gwagwalada Area council of the FCT, comrade Shanabo Abubakar, has assured that if given the mandate  in 2026 election he would repair the dilapidated primary schools in order to uplifting the standard of education the area, adding that he would bring new invasions into the Area Council.

Abubakar, who disclosed this while speaking to newsmen after he declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship position in Gwagwalada, added if elected he would focus on the developmental projects.

He also charged the party executives to be united as well work for the progress of the party in Gwagwalada and its environs, tasking  the members the party to shun anti-party activities during the 2026 election.

He then appealed to the other political parties to desist from recruiting political thugs during the electioneering campaign, and warned politicians against campaign of calumny.

Also speaking, the vice chairman of APGA in the FCT, Engr. Solomon I. Umezuruike the gathering that the party has no aggrieved members for now.

Meanwhile, the leader of APGA has affirmed Mr. kelechi Gabriel as the

chairman of APGA in Gwagwalada.He said the new Board was crucial for driving infrastructure, regulating water transport, and fostering regional economic integration.

The minister reminded the NIWA Board that their responsibility was policy guidance and supervision, not operational management.

He referenced the NIWA Act and Public Service Rules, which separate governance from daily administration.

He urged the Board to work professionally, respect institutional boundaries, and uphold national development goals.

Oyetola formally inaugurated the NIWA Board, chaired by Mr Musa Sarki Adar. Mr Bola Oyebamiji serves as Managing Director.

Other members include Hussaini Shettima, Jeminiwa Adewale Charles, Dr Ndidi Jenifer Ozegbe, and Prof. Sadiq Abubakar.

Also on the Board are Kunle Olugbemiro, Capt. Tajudeen Alao, Mr Dele Kelvin Oye, Capt. Jerome Angwunwe, and Hoplyn Euore Ayu.
