The former Senator representing Yobe East and currently a Minister of Police Affairs, Sen. Ibrahim Geidam has empowered his constituents with items for self-reliance in Yobe East Senatorial District.
The empowerment items including four tractors, 23 mini buses and 98 tricycles as empowerment materials under the 2023 capital intervention project in the Yobe East senatorial district.
The items were distributed on Sunday under the office of Senator Ibrahim Geidam, who was a senator representing Yobe East in 2019 and re-elected in 2023 before he was appointed Minister of Police Affairs by President Bola Tinubu.
While distributing the items at the Damaturu Local Government Secretariat, the minister said the items were not just tools but symbols of empowerment designed to foster self-reliance and drive economic progress in the state.
Sen. Gaidam, who was represented by his chief of staff, Alhaji Kuwata Goni, said the allocation of the resources underscores his commitment to creating jobs, supporting small-scale enterprises, and eradicating poverty and hunger.
