The Federal University Gashua, Yobe State has punctured a rumor circulating on social media regarding the adjustment of its 2023/2024 academic calendar.
In a statement issued by Chief Information Officer of the Federal University Gashu’a, Mallam Adamu Saleh reacted the rumors as a baseless.
He said, “It has come to the attention of Federal University Gashua that a memorandum with the title ‘Adjusted Academic Calendar for 2023/2024’ is circulating on social media. We would like to clarify that this memorandum did not originate from the university authorities.”
“We urge all members of the university community and the public to disregard this fake memorandum. The information contained in it is not valid and should not be relied upon”.
“Furthermore, please be informed that the university remains closed until further notice. Any official announcements regarding the academic calendar or any other matters will be communicated through official university channels.”
