Less than two weeks to this year’s Commonwealth Games slated for Glasgow, Scotland between July 23 and August 3, Nigerian athletes will this week jet off to United Kingdom in continuation of their final preparation ahead of the Games.
Technical Director of Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Navy Commodore Omatseye Nesiama said that the athletes will arrive UK early to enable them put finishing touches before the competition begins
According to him “We have rounded up our selection process and we are going to the next phase which is the off-shore camping which is geared at fine-tuning our strategies especially for the team event, that is relays.
