Gombe APC chieftain urges delegates to be proactive during congresses

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe state has called on delegates and the general public to remain focused and be proactive while electing credible leaders that will handle the affairs of the party.

The state Interim Chairman of the party, Barr. Magaji Mohammed Doho, who stated this at the weekend in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Gombe also said that delegates who are to participate in the state congress scheduled to take place on Wednesday must be card carry members, adding that all delegates are expected to purchase their forms from the bank before they will be allowed to vote during state congress.

He added that APC which is a respected party in the country must follow due process in its activities to enable the party forge ahead.

According to him, necessary modalities have been put in place to ensure success of the party boasting that the party would prove sceptics wrong as APC has come to stay in the country.

He commended the effort of the party for a successful conduct of Ward and Local government congresses in the state and urged newly elected leaders to be law abiding citizens while taking their primary assignment.

The chairman also stressed the need for the state congress delegates to be punctual so that the exercise could be conducted in good time.
