Gombe Gov’s aide chides Goje over comment

The chief of staff to Governor of Gombe state, Ahaji Ahmed Yayari has blamed Senator. Mohammed Danjuma Goje for his public statement that he re gretttedmaking Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo the Governor of Gombe state in 2011.

Alhaji Yayariwho disclosed this yesterday in Gombe while briefingnewsmen in his office also denied that Sen. Goje did not impose Dankwambo as governor of the state in 2011, adding that Dankwambo’svictory at the poll came at the time that people needed his services.

While reacting to comment made by Sen. Goje, the chief of staff said Governor Hassan Dankwambo was elected in 2011 to serve hispeople based on his track record.

The chief of staff explained that in 2011 general election, Governor Dankwambo won the election under theplatform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) without any rancor which he said he had 590,000 votes to beat other contestant at the poll.

He however said the aim of Goje in 2011 general election was tohand over power to his son inlaw, Alhaji Ibrahim DasukiJalo butcould not succeed.

According to him, the developmental stride in the state has already qualified Dankwambo for re-election in 2015, adding that both theelectorates and traditional rulersin the state are in support of Dankwambo’s administration.
