Gombe state government said plans are on the way to implement biometric time frame for workers in the state. Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who was represented by his deputy Manassah Daniel Jatau disclosed this on Wednesday in Gombe during a biometric induction programme for supervisors. He said the induction programme is necessary to train supervisors on the need to ascertain effectiveness of biometric attendance of the civil servants. According to him, this is the only policy that will showcase whether civil servants report to work as expected. He warned the inductee to look at their appointment as sacrifice for the state. While admonishing them to do the needful, the deputy governor said the 305 beneficiaries who are to carryout the assignment needed to be courageous in their primary assignment. He explained that Gombe state government earlier purchased 4,000 biometric machine for all the 11 local government areas to monitor the attendance of workers with a view to harmonising the activities of the civil servants.
