The Gombe state University said arrangements have been concluded to established a centre of gender in the institution.
Ag Vice-chancellor of the University Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta disclosed this on Monday in Gombe when he received the Deputy Director General of United Nations, Hajiya Amina Mohammed in his office.
He said the establishment of the centre in the institution is to address issues regarding to gender based violence.
According to him, the University which started with 600 students in 2004 currently has 18,000 students.
While appreciating the visit, he told the Deputy Director General of the United Nations that the school has increased faculties.
