From Uche Nnorom, Makurdi
Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has replaced the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Dennis Akura and reassigned him to office of Special Adviser on Financial and Economic Strategy, Planning, and Development.
Recall that sometime ago, there was an announcement removing the same Akura but it was quickly rescinded following interventions from some quarters.
A statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Tersoo Kula and made available to the media on Sunday, said the Governor has approved new portfolios for Mr. Denen Aondoakaa, who will take charge of the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Prior to this approval, Mr. Aondoakaa served as the Principal Special Assistant PSA to the Governor, heading the Delivery Unit.
Denen holds a B.Sc. in Economics and an MBA in Finance, working previously at the Jos Electricity Distribution Company, JEDC Makurdi Regional Office as Head of Revenue Optimization and served as well as Technical Advisor at BIRS. He was also a Branch Operational Manager at Fidelity Bank.
