50 percent of sexually transmitted disease are from rape – Gombe Commissioner

The Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development in Gombe state Hon. Asma’u Muhammad Iganus has said that most Sexually Transmitted Diseases( STD) are from rape.
She stated this in Kumo on Monday when the ministry of women affairs took its sensitisation campaign to Akko local government area council.
She said women and girls are battling in the recent years from various attacks by rapists.
She also urged parents to always monitor their wards while sending them on errand to avoid being harmed by unwarranted people.
