Gov. Badaru empowers 70,000 youths with N57.1m in Jigawa

No fewer than seventy thousands youths including both APC and PDP members from 27 local government areas of Jigawa were empowered on small scale businesses by the Jigawa state government in two years.
The special Assistant to the governor, Muhammad Shehu Mujaddadi disclosed this while delivering his speech during the distribution of empowerment funds yesterday in Dutse.
He explained that the beneficiaries were selected from 278 political wards across the state both men and women and empowered on their business.
According to him, “we are here today to launch the disbursement of N2.2 million to 220 youths from eleven political wards in Dutse local government, and from here we will proceed to another local government till we cover all 27 local governments in the state”.
Mujaddadi maintained that the beneficiaries were empowered based on the level of their business, as some empowered with N20,000, N10,000 while others will get N5,000 as it is enough to empower their business.
