The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to advancing science, research, and innovation for the betterment of Yobe State and future generations.
Speaking to while receiving an award from Society of Neuroscientists of Africa, the Governor highlighted his government’s dedication to fostering scientific progress and building sustainable projects with far-reaching impacts.
“We are committed to supporting science, research, and innovation as a foundation for our state’s development. While addressing present needs, we are equally focused on securing a prosperous future for generations yet unborn.”
Meanwhile, the Society of Neuroscientists of Africa pledged to support the Yobe State Biomedical Research and Training Center as a regional hub for science and innovation in Africa.
They urged the governor to institutionalise a sustainable funding mechanism through a legal framework with a dedicated budget to ensure the long-term viability of research initiatives.
