Gov. Buni signs N320bn budget for 2025

The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has signed N320bn financial and appropriation bills for 2025 budget tagged; “budget of Economic Consolidation and Poverty Reduction,” into law.
On the 30th October 2024, Buni submitted the 2025 finance and appropriation bills to the Yobe State House of Assembly
He said, “the bills have been passed by the House of Assembly and we are here today to perform this important occasion of signing the bills into law to give the government a legal framework for its 2025 expenditure.
“I wish to commend and appreciate the Hon. Speaker Yobe state House of Assembly, the Rt. Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, all Hon. Members, and of course, the staff of the Assembly for their dedication, hard work, cooperation and commitment to service.
“You have demonstrated a strong commitment to serve our people, placing the state’s interests first, and above your personal comfort to ensure timely passage of these bills into law.”
Buni added that, he is aware of the slight adjustment made by the Assembly on the budget size with a decrease of N15 Million, assuring that, the adjustment is done to make the proposals more realistic, and in reflection to the prevailing economic realities.
