Gov. Fintiri swears in Perm Secs, harps on dedication

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has sworn in fifteen (15) new permanent secretaries and three (3) special advisers charging them to be upright in their official responsibilities.
Governor Fintiri while inaugurating the permanent secretaries in Yola Wednesday said dedication to service and result oriented engagements are what is expected from them.
“At the end of your stewardship you will give account to the people of the State and your creator”, the Governor advised
Fintiri admonished the new Permanent Secretaries to abide by the oath they have taken and remain fair to all manner of people.
“The journey to move Adamawa State to the next level is on course as we expect a record of excellence from all of you”.
He further explained that their appointment in to the office of Permanent Secretaries was a cumbersome one and so, you must sit up.
“Of the eighty two (82) persons who sat for the examination, fifteen of them passed, therefore they must deliver their services effectively to the admiration of the people of the State”, he emphasized.
He promised that the present administration and the crop of leadership in the government would never favour nepotism in all ramifications.
Fintiri uses the forum reiterate his earlier promise to give hope to younger Adamawa indigenes who have the basic qualifications, aimed at working to lift the State to the next level.
The fifteen Permanent Secretaries and Special Advisers sworn in by Commissioner for Justice ,Barrister Afraimu Jingi are, Umar Aliyu Toungo, Dr Islambe, Mohammed Kabiru Bello, Dr Augustine Gayius, Barrister Manasa Daniel, Mohammed Muktar, and Abdulrahman Tukur.
Others include Solomon Simon, Barrister Samuel Monde, Isa Shehu Ardo, Suleiman Usman, Joel Tumba Kwada, Dr Ansalanda Ardiel and Hapsatu Mohammed Umar.
In a response, Dr Augustine Gayius thanked the Governor for seeking them worthy and eligible, promised to put in their best to meet the yearnings of the people.
