Rangers lifted the NPFL title on Sunday

Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has hailed Rangers International FC for emerging champions of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Rangers on Sunday won the NPFL title after beating Ikorodu City 2-1 in Lagos. It’s Rangers second league title in three seasons and the State Governor commented the team for their dedication and resilience
“Champions are not built in a single match. They are built through hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and the courage to keep fighting until the very end.
“ Rangers International F.C. has always represented something deeper for Ndi Enugu, pride, identity, resilience, and the belief that no matter the challenge, we rise again. This historic 9th league title is a testament to the incredible effort of the players, coaching crew, management, backroom staff, and every single person who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this moment possible,” the Governor said.
Dr Mbah while dedicating the title to the supporters of the Flying Antelopes, commended the team for doing the state proud
“This victory also belongs to every supporter who never stopped believing, every former player who wore the badge with pride, and every young child in Enugu dreaming of one day stepping onto that pitch in Rangers colours. Congratulations to our Flying Antelopes. Enugu is proud.”
The title. On Sunday is Rangers’ 9th, equalling Enyimba FC ‘s record. By achieving the feat, Rangers will also participate at the 2027 CAF Champions League alongside the second placed team in the league, Rivers United.
