Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has approved the appointments of Hon. Salisu Isah and Abdullahi Muhammad Ibrahim as Sole Administrator, Birnin Gwari Local Government and Chairman Fiscal Responsibility Commission, respectively.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Muhammad Lawal Shehu and made available to the media yesterday.
The statement stated that the appointment of Honourable Isah, which takes immediate effect, followiing Section 22(5) of a Law to Substitute the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission Law, No.2 of 2018 which gives the Governor the power to appoint an Administrator for the local government when it has become impracticable to conduct election to fill the vacancy thereby created.
Hon. Salisu Isah is a seasoned educationist, administrator, and grassroots politician with decades of service to the people of Birnin Gwari LGA and Kaduna State.
He served as a Member of, the Kaduna State House of Assembly (Magajin Gari Constituency 2015 – 2023) and Councilor, Magajin Gari 11 Ward, Birnin Gwari Local Government, Kaduna State from 2012 – 2014.
He worked at Miftahul Ulumul Islamiya Birnin Gwari Education Authority, Birnin Gwari. He was Treasurer and later Chairman, Amalgamation of Motorcyclist Rider and Ownership Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN).
Born in Birnin Gwari in 1979, Hon. Salisu Isah attended the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained a bachelor’s Degree and Masters’s Degree in Education.
The newly appointed Chairman of, the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Abdullahi Muhammad Ibrahim is the immediate past Sole administrator of Birnin Gwari LGA.
