Gov. Sani receives released school children, says no room for conflict merchants in Kaduna State

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has warned that there is no place for conflict merchants who seek joy in misinforming the public to create disharmony among the citizens.
He asserted this when the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigeria Army, Major General Mayirenso Saraso formally handed over 131 Children of the released 137 school children of Kuriga school in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
According to him when the people of the state are busy celebrating the release of the children unhurt. th conflict merchants are busy conspiring to scuttle the joy and celebration mood of the people.
He therefore vowed to not allow them to succeed in their nefarious activities.
Gov. Sani stressed that since the return of the students, some mischief makers have been asking questions about how these children were released and what happened.
He opined that that is irrelevant to the people because what matters is that the children are back.
“For us in Kaduna, what is more, important to us is the safe return of our children. Today, the children are here they will soon join their parents, and families who are more important as our role is to protect the lives and citizens of the state under my government
He said that security is number one on our own because it is not politics, we have to be cautious, and we should not politicise security issues in Nigeria, because any attempt to undermine the security in Nigeria in the name of politics will jeopardise the lives of citizens.
Gov. Sani charged securities operatives to be vigilant and ensure that anybody who will identify as an informant should be reported.
In his remarks, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigeria Army, Major General Mayirenso Saraso said both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches were adopted in the rescue operation of the children.
He recalls that on Thursday, 7th March 2024, some Violent Extremists and Insurgents infamously called armed bandits invaded the LEA Primary School and the Government Secondary School both co-located at Kuriga, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where they criminally abducted several pupils and students including a staff member of one of the two schools.
According to him, the sustained and coordinated application of both kinetic and non-kinetic efforts by the security agencies under the strategic guidance of the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR through the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
“The abducted Kuriga school children have in the early hours of yesterday Sunday 24th March 2024, been safely rescued after spending about 16 days in captivity”.
