Gov. Sule nominates eight new Commissioners, Assembly fixes Friday for screening

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has forwarded the names of eight commissioner nominees to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The nominations were announced on Wednesday during plenary by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, who read the governor’s letter before lawmakers in Lafia.
The nominees are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba), Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia), Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi), Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga (Obi), Adamu Rebecca Kpadji (Wamba), Nawani Aboki (Doma), Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA (Nasarawa), and Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul (Lafia).
Following the announcement, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae (CV) ahead of their screening.
The House fixed Friday, August 7, 2026, for the screening and confirmation exercise, after which successful nominees are expected to join Governor Sule’s cabinet.
