Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved the appointment of Engineer Mohammed Jibrin Iman as the Chairman of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC).
This was obtained from the governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo’s social media X handle in Minna.
He added that the team was led by the former chairman of the APC in Niger state to pilot the affairs of the commission.
The eight man team consisted of Barrister Mohammed Liman as Permanent Commissioner one, Nasiru Ubandiya as Permanent Commissioner two, Yahaya Idris Abara Permanent Commissioner three, Captain Mohammed Baro (rtd) Permanent Commissioner four.
Others are; Kabiru Tanko Zama Permanent Commissioner five, Barrister Amina Guar Permanent Commissioner six and Barrister Ahmed Borgu Permanent Commissioner seven respectively.
According to Ebbo, this follows governor Bago’s executive correspondence to the Niger State House of Assembly on 23rd December, 2024 on the composition of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission NSIEC subject for confirmation.
