Niger state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has intervened in the land dispute and reached resolutions to end the lingering crisis in Ja’agi Community of Kede ward of Mokwa local government of Niger state.

Governor Bello in a meeting at government house Minna with the representatives of the community, warned the people to allow peace to reign by resolving their differences amicably.

He directed the deputy governor Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso to set up a committee for the assessment of destruction of properties during the crisis for the purpose of ensuring support to the victims.

The resolutions reached include; assessment of destroyed property for compensation, all court cases and petitions should be withdrawn, representatives should talk to their groups to ensure peace and tranquility at home.

Others are, Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar should immediately appoint new village head for Ja’agi.

Also, it was resolved that the up land belongs to the community while the low land belongs to families and households.
