The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has matriculated 1945 fresh students to study various courses under the faculties of education, science, humanities, management and social sciences.
Addressing the students shortly after matriculation ceremony at the University’s Matriculation/Convocation ground on Tuesday, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mu’azu Abubakar Gusau, charged the students to stay away from all social vices during their stay in University.
Professor Gusau further warned that, steps have been laid amongst which are; ensuring hard work for the new students, strict adherence to the rules and regulations of the University, personal discipline, high moral standard and respect for the constituted authorities.
He added that, “Besides that, students must not indulge in examination malpractice and other social immoralities such as; cultism, indecent dress, sexual harassment, theft and drug abuse amongst others.
