Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has inaugurated the Kaduna State Skills Development Council, with a mandate to develop a strategic plan aimed at enhancing skill acquisition across the state.
This initiative is part of the state government’s commitment towards addressing unemployment and improving residents’ livelihoods by equipping them with essential skills.
Gov Sani, at the inauguration ceremony, mentioned the significance of the council in addressing the state’s skills deficit and empowering its citizens, particularly the youth, to be competitive in a rapidly changing world.
“On assuming office in May 2023, we committed to investing in human capital to position Kaduna State’s youth to meet the evolving demands of the 21st century and contribute effectively to the state’s economic development,” the governor said.
“We are determined to address the skills deficits of our people decisively, ensuring that our citizens have the necessary skills to fill positions in the industries and businesses we have attracted to the state.”
