The management of Government Secondary School (GSS) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has graduated a total number of 450 students in this year’s Academic Session.

In his welcome address during the 2023 speech and prize-giving ceremony on Saturday, the principal of the school, Mr. Victor Orifah, said: “Distinguished guests, i would like to use this medium to generally appreciate the level of discipline, focus, tenacity and great potentials inherent in the 2023 set of graduating students”.

According to Victor Orifah, one of the high points of this gathering is the recognition of students of the college that have distinguished themselves academically and otherwise.

He added: Deserving students will receive prizes in various categories, knowing that their excellent performance is an inspiration to all”.

The Principal, however, used the graduation ceremony to recognize as well appreciate the outstanding contributions of the past principals of the school.

In her remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Hajiya Fatima Abdulrahman, commended the entire management of the school for organ sing an excellent speech and prize-giving ceremony.

on his part, the Director/Secretary in charge of the Secondary Education Board (SEB), Dr Mohammed Sani Ladan, said his leadership would continue to provide the needed facilities in schools to enhance learning. Ladan, therefore, advised the graduands to be good diplomats of the school anywhere they go.

meanwhile, the graduation ceremony featured the presentation of awards to some distinguished personalities.
