A group under the auspices of the Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) said Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), affects 1 in 3 women in their lifetime.
The Executive Director of the group, Iliya Kure stated this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, it is a grave human rights violation, and also a public health problem, affecting not only the physical and mental health of women but also their lives and self-esteem.
