A group under the auspices of the Arewa Peace Foundation (APF) has called for synergy amongst stakeholders, within and outside Zamfara, for the sustainable development of the State.
The Director of Publicity, Bello Abdulhamid, made the call on behalf of the Board and Members of the Foundation during a press briefing at Arewa House in Kaduna State.
This was as the group recognized the efforts and achievements of Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal Dare, in restoring the State to the path of progress.
The statement reads, “In as much as Governor Dauda Lawal Dare and his able team have focused on ensuring that the home State is on a sustainable path to progress, growth, and development, it behooves on all stakeholders within and outside the State to keep aside political and other differences, galvanize efforts to bring out the state from its predicaments and woes.
The group expressed concern over criminal elements who, after being exposed by well-meaning individuals who avail information of their crimes, are arrested, punished according to law, freed after a few weeks, and return to their nefarious businesses, to the detriment of the people.
The group also expressed concern for communities that are proximate to terrorists’ dens, especially those separated by a river or stream, so close that each side could see what is happening at the other side, noting it as a danger to the lives and property of its residents.
