The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation has said that it would launch #KickOutTerrorism campaign, as part its effort in supporting the federal government’s fight against terrorism.
A statement, signed by its National coordinator, Comrade Nwokoma Messiah, said that the campaign would be launched within the next two weeks in Abuja.
While commending the efforts of the security agencies in the fight against terrorism, Nwokoma said that all hands must be on deck to assist government in the fight against terrorism.
It further called on all Niger-Deltans in the country , irrespective of their political affiliations, to support the campaign against terrorism ,stressing that such support will help in bringing peace and development in the country, especially as the 2015 elections is drawing near.
The statement also advocated that all the wives of the state governors should be involved in preaching peace in their states, just as the First Lady is doing at the federal level.
The group also endorsed Mrs. Ngozi Juliet Olejeme as the Chairperson of the National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) for the Delta state 2015 governorship elections, adding that the decision to support her for the position was due to her leadership qualities.
